Over the years, I have gone to Gabe for acupuncture and cupping, sometimes for general tension and sometimes for a more acute issue. And then, last year, I had a serious finger injury which needed surgery. I contacted Gabe again to set up weekly e-stim acupuncture appointments for my hand. WOW!
Gabe is a gem! He is such a kind and knowledgeable practitioner who genuinely cares about his patients and their well-being. Our son started treatments with Gabe (acupuncture, cupping and Moxibustion (Moxa) over a year ago for digestive issues.
Had acupuncture and cupping done to ease some lower back and sciatic nerve pain. Now able to resume my workout routine after a few treatments.
I would give Gabe more stars if they were available! After breaking my left pinky finger back in December, undergoing surgery to repair the fractures, and being immobilized for almost 2-1/2 months, I was unable to bend that finger at all.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
