From the reviews

I've had exceptional care from Kathryn at Wild Blossom Acupuncture and Wellness. She was particularly helpful during my pregnancy with treatments to lessen my morning sickness. Our family is big fans of her Little Dragons Clinic for children - we appreciate that it's drop in so we can't be late for our appointment!

★★★★★ — Emily, Jun 2020

Mary did such an exceptional job in helping me to overcome the pain and discomfort I was having while running and walking due to piriformis syndrome. After just 3 visits, I was able to get back to training in time to complete a half marathon in Yosemite in May.

★★★★★ — Laura, Jun 2022

Our daughter has received excellent care at Wild Blossom Acupuncture, and I would recommend Kathryn to any other parents that would be seeking care for their children. When our daughter was very small, she struggled with advanced congestion and coughs, especially when sick.

★★★★★ — Matt, Nov 2020

I used to see Kathryn at her previous two locations. I moved from the Madison area, but I really miss having Kathryn as an acupuncturist. I have chronic pain from TMJ, neck and shoulder pain all on the right side of my body. Sessions with her were very helpful.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
