From the reviews
Amazing first massage. The atmosphere was beautiful and relaxing.
I met Melissa three years ago at my chiropractor's office, where I was referred to by the Department of Veterans Affairs for treatment for my service connected issues.
Melissa is a highly qualified and experienced massage therapist. I have used massage therapy as medicine and relaxation for over a decade and I think that Melissa is the best that I have experienced. She is someone who makes you feel very accepted and comfortable.
I have been going to Melissa for many years since I met her at my chiropractor’s office. Her new practice allows her to do clinical massage in a relaxing setting. As a pregnant woman who works in dentistry, I am not exaggerating when I say finding Melissa has vastly improved my quality of life every day.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
