From the reviews

My first appointment with Mei was after participating for months in physical therapy for a debilitating frozen shoulder. Mei met with me, reviewed my medical records and then prescribed a treatment program for a frozen shoulder.

I went to Mei the first time more than 10 years ago and every time I have pain that may be treated with acupuncture I go to her and I get the relief that I could not get otherwise, with drugs or other expensive and invasive treatments.

★★★★★ — Fabrizio, May 2018

Mei's treatment has given me so much relief and hope. I've been seeing doctors for years about my neck and shoulder pain and always get told to take massive amounts of ibuprofen, do physical therapy, and suffer.

★★★★★ — Margaret, Jul 2024

Mei is amazing! Been going to her for over a decade for multiple things, frozen shoulder, TPJ, COVID aftermath, and many more. She compliments with herbs, cupping, and other common esteem medicine practices.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
