From the reviews

I've been seeing Hector at Massage Collective for about five years now and I'm so grateful to know him. He's seen my body through a lot of difference seasons/aches/injuries and always hits the mark. His work is excellent and totally variable depending on what you and your body need. So many modalities!

I have done six sessions so far. My body is feeling so much better. I can even breathe better. I’ve been wanting to do this for years. My lower back goes out sometimes and it has not gone out since I’ve been getting Rolfed. I am recommending to my family and friends. Robert knows what he’s doing.

I just had the BEST massage with Robert! If you are looking for a place that WILL help you body aches or tension GO HERE!! Robert was very professional and knew exactly what I needed!

★★★★★ — Valeria, Apr 2024

I often visit the Massage Collective and was fortunate enough to get connected with Hector from a friend. From the moment I walk in, I can tell I am in good hands. Hector is not only highly professional but also incredibly knowledgeable about the body and how to address pain and tension.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
