“If you're in the SB area and looking for a highly skilled, warm, and compassionate practitioner, Dr.”
From the reviews
Dr. Sophie is incredible. She has improved my life in so many ways. I first saw her for severe shoulder pain, and she made herself available for an emergency appointment the very next day.
Lolee Wellness is a beautiful retreat offering deep rest and recovery. I've been a patient of several different acupuncturists over the last decade, and Dr. Sophie is one of the absolute best.
Sophie is an incredibly skilled, knowledgable and compassionate clinician. She supported me physically and emotionally both before and during my first pregnancy. Any aches or anxieties were met with understanding and clinical support.
I’ve been getting acupuncture with Dr. Sophie for three years and just recently, she helped me with my pregnancy and truly helped to make my pregnancy what it was, a smooth and enjoyable, in tune with my body experience.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
