From the reviews

My first experience here was nothing short of exceptional. The space is fairly small and simple, but the attention to detail in the cupping treatment that i received was undeniably the best that I have had to date.

★★★★★ — Eleni, Feb 2022

I have a severe case of myo fascitis from hip to waist that is cyclical over two weeks. Allison has provided wonderful relief far longer than NSAID or topical treatment using acupuncture and cupping. She adapts her skills to treatment focused on relieving pain and increasing mobility.

★★★★★ — S, Apr 2025

I am so grateful to have found Dr. Conachen. She is highly skilled, knowledgeable, intuitive, kind and is a truly amazing healer. I recently injured my lower back and it was excruciatingly painful just getting out of bed. After one treatment of acupuncture and cupping, a day later, the pain was almost gone.

★★★★★ — Diane, Sep 2025

Allison is a gifted healer and I strongly recommend her for acupuncture and herbal remedies. She has helped my frozen shoulder tremendously in a short period of time. She also integrates healing, self-made topical and oral products that smell wonderful and soothe my body and soul.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
