From the reviews
Christina made my first acupuncture experience incredibly easy and comfortable. I received both acupuncture and cupping, and she took the time to explain everything she was doing and why, which made the entire process feel very approachable. Coming into Magnolia Wellness OC is the biggest gift. Every session I leave feeling beyond supported & renewed. I’ve seen Christina & Angela for acupunture & cupping. Both ladies hold a safe & gentle space with the most professional bedside manners. So grateful for Magnolia & all the care they provide.
I am so thankful for Magnolia and the care you provide. Christina was able to see me on short notice due to a cancellation (I placed a desperate same day waitlist request online) and was so communicative and kind.
I've been going to Magnolia Wellness now for about 3 years now and I'm pleased to say that Dr. Marisa Puente has really helped change my life. I was diagnosed with a Tumor around the time that I met her and it was causing severe pain in my left leg.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
