From the reviews

Wow this place is AMAZING. I have been to many spas in my life (ya girl loves a good massage) and this is one of the best experiences I've ever had. Tl;dr - if you're on the fence about booking a treatment, just do it! You won't regret it.

I loved my experience getting a massage here and look forward to coming back. The front desk was very friendly and invited me to wait at their lounge. I enjoyed the decor, spaciousness and relaxed lighting while I waited a few minutes. Sam gave me a deep tissue massage.

A fantastic place to get a high-quality massage with great service and a very calming atmosphere. I loved my 60-minute massage so much that I’m going back for a 90-minute one soon. It’s a great place to relax and have a nice massage.

I am a picky massage receiver and have my person I like to go to, but was given gift certificates to Luminous from my sister in-law who has been trying to get me there for years. Finally went yesterday, it was fantastic! The ambiance, the people, the massage... Everything was great!

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
