From the reviews
I have had fantastic experiences working with both Adrienne, Little Bird's massage therapist, and Sara, Little Bird's acupuncturist! Adrienne is a wonderful listener and takes so much time to talk with me about how I'm feeling before outlining a treatment plan for that session.
Sara and Adrienne are both extremely professional, nonjudgmental, and supportive of clients pursuing their health. Both the acupuncture and massage therapy are on a sliding scale because they are done in a “community” setting for needling and not a fancy spa for massage (the massages are in a private room).
I first came in sometime ago with knee pain and found that after a few months of continued treatment, that my overall well-being was much better. I have PTSD from pass trauma and would not be able to afford acupuncture treatment, that I've found helpful, with physical and emotional ailments, had it not been for Little…
Staff and Acupunks are awesome! You can't get a more caring place than the ladies who run this place.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
