I've been visiting Cherry Blossom Healing Arts for a couple months now and have had a really great experience. The office has a spa-like vibe and the front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. I have only seen Zach for treatment and he's been amazing.

I *highly* recommend Cherry Blossom Healing Arts. I've been going through a major health crisis, and Elyse has been so wonderful--I feel like she has been my superpower to help me through my issues. I really can't recommend them highly enough, esp.

★★★★★ — Jennie, May 2023

I've been going to Cherry Blossom for about 6 months and I just wanted to share how incredibly freeing it has been for me. I don't experience much pain, but our sessions have focused on my digestion, circulation, and anxiety. Elyse has a gift that allows me to feel more connected to myself through the acupuncture.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
