I came to Dr. John as a new patient for a serious back injury/heriated disc. He asks for a very detailed history prior to treatennt, which is a good thing. He took the time to understand what is going on before deciding what direction to go.
Dr Marino is so good at what he does. I am petrified of needles and always have been. He placed the needles in my legs and feet, and it was a totally satisfying experience. The next day my feet didn't hurt and my whole being felt lighter and pain free.
Dr.Ashley showed so much knowledge, empathy, and general concern. She has a plan and shares it with you, I have already told a few friends about my experience. They also participate with insurance which made it just our copay!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
