From the reviews
My wife had a 90 min massage here a month ago. She came home raving about her experience! Jessica, the therapist, used multiple modalities to release her knots and even took the time to explain how cupping worked.
Jess is amazing. I love every session that I have with her. She adapts her techniques to what my body needs. I always enjoy my sessions, knowing that I will feel more relaxed and feel better than when I walked into her studio.
Jessica is a well experienced massage therapist. I work in construction and put my body under a lot of stress. I don’t workout as much as I used to, and wondered if there were any benefits in getting a massage often. It took me awhile to build up some courage to go as this was my first massage experience.
I booked last minute as I had a pinched nerve and it was the only place with an opening at short notice. I couldn't be happier with my experience. Jessica went over my problem areas and gave a rundown of her methods prior to starting. The room was very comfortable and relaxing.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
