From the reviews

Walked in severely limping, walked out a few weeks later able to run. They also don't try and keep you coming back forever. The goal is to get you discharged as quickly as possible. Shout out to Leslie, Luke (a tar-heal fan, but still a great guy) and Garrett.

I am so impressed with Kinetix! My Physical Therapist Marisa is awesome! She has really been helping me with my knee replacement. Rachel, the Scheduler/Receptionist, is so kind and helpful! Actually everyone has been very kind to me.

I have been seeing Garrett since he was a PT therapist for Ortho Carolina and starting his own PT practice. I’ve watched his knowledge base grow over the years and the relationship we have established has been crucial to my succeed in my career field.

★★★★★ — Taylor, Dec 2025

I have received excellent care from Garrett and the two ladies. Garrett has been my primary theropist and he is excellent. He is considerate and very professional and does very well with his time with you. I have enjoyed working with him and he is a very excellent person to do your therapy with.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
