From the reviews
As a working professional in the scuba diving industry, chronic muscle pain and tension are frequent. Kathleen took the time to listen, then treated my back and neck with both cupping and acupuncture! Will definitely go back!
Kathleen is amazing! I have been a client of hers for over 5 years. She has helped me with many different health issues. She is so caring, calm and friendly. She has always addressed my needs. Acupuncture has helped me with stress and body pains. Kathleen’s practice is very professional, hygienic and peaceful.
Both Kathleen and Daniel’s treatment plan has really saved my life. I have mobility and pain free in this treatment. For years I have had chronic shoulder, neck, hip and lower back issues. I am also being treated for cancer med side effects.
Kathleen has been treating me for almost three years for joint pain related to medication. In that time she has also been an integral member of my healthcare team and she has taught me how to take better care of myself/my body throughout a few health issues.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
