From the reviews

Dr. Joy is amazing! I had never tried acupuncture or cupping prior to visiting her clinic. She made me feel so comfortable by asked me a few questions to target my main issues (i’m an esthetician with constant shoulder/upper back pain and carpal tunnel). We discussed a treatment plan and started treatment the same day.

Joy is awesome! I've been working with Dr. Moy since 2019 and I have seen her practice grow tremendously...and for good reason! From acupuncture to cupping, Dr. Moy has many solutions for pain, wellness, and overall health. I work out and run a lot so I'm always tight and stressed.

Dr. Joy Moy is a godsend! She is very talented and has helped me many times. She is also professional, warm and caring. I also felt that Dr. Joy told me from the get go what I needed in order to get better. This is different from my experience with other acupuncturists that didn’t seem to really have a clear plan.

★★★★★ — Todd, Dec 2019

I’ve suffered from lower back pain and sinus congestion for many years. It wasn’t until I started seeing joy that the pain has gone away. Joy is more than my Dr, but my friend. She is extremely knowledgeable on the field and very trustworthy.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
