From the reviews
Dr. Joy is the best acupuncturist I have ever seen! She is trained in China and in the US. She has profound experiences and knowledges to fix my whole family's problems which including pain, sinus, constipation, and migraines. She is my family doctor now. She is very patient and professional acupuncturist too!
I recently developed a case of shingles due to excessive stress & *NO ONE TOLD ME ACUPUNCTURE CAN HELP IT!* I was staying home trying to cope with the incredibly intense pain & burning skin sensitivity. As soon as Dr.
Dr. Joy is amazing! I typically dont do well with needles, but she put my mind to ease with her knowledge and empathy towards my conditions. I will and have recommended her service to my friends and family, so they can get the amazing treatment that i recieved as well. I look forward to seeing Dr.
Friday was my first acupuncture experience in her office at Delta Spine and Sport Care and it was amazing! I have had a pain in my right leg for the past 4 months and Joy did an excellent job pinpointing that pain. I highly recommend her service, very professional!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
