10/10 mackenzie helped with my back pain with a cupping & acupuncture session. Her office was so relaxing and made sure I knew what everything was for and why she was placing them there. For a first time acupuncture patient I throughly enjoyed everything she did. Would recommend every time!
I have PCOS, and it’s impacted so many areas of my life. Losing weight has always been a struggle, which only made my depression worse and made the thought of getting pregnant feel almost impossible. I’ve tried different medications over the years, but they either didn’t help or left me feeling like I wasn’t myself.
Mackenzie first treated me after my top surgery to help with scar healing and improving sensation, and later supported me through recovery from my hysterectomy. What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
