From the reviews
Steven is one of the most caring and empathetic people in this world. I could tell that the moment we met and knew he would be the man to trust with getting my body into its best working order. The past few months he’s worked to alleviate all the nagging issues that have been slowing me down.
I can’t say enough good things about JointWorks. As a grandmother who has seen three generations of our family benefit from Dr. Lagasse’s care, I feel incredibly grateful to have found such a knowledgeable and well-rounded physical therapist.
My experience with Dr. Lagasse has been great. I found Dr. Lagasse on a whim, my daughter was in pain and discomfort due to hip pain from a sports injury. An orthopedist recommended physical therapy. She was due to be seen at another physical therapy facility, unfortunately it was booking out two weeks.
I have been working with Steven to address my knee pain. I had fallen and injured my knee, and when the pain didn't subside, I booked an appointment with Steven. He was patient and understanding as I described where my knee hurt.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
