From the reviews

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I got the Achedaway Cupper done on part of my back and hijama cupping done on the lower part of my back, hip, knee, and leg. INSTANT RELIEF!!! I couldn't believe it. Ella thoroughly explained everything as she was doing it and was very professional.

I’ve been going to Ella ever since she opened her business. I’ve enjoyed my experience so much that I was able to refer my mom, dad and a few friends. She truly cares about me and focuses on areas that I feel need the most help. She is professional, very clean and performs wet cupping the Sunnah way.

★★★★★ — Amina, Jul 2020

This is an expert that will deliver outstanding work. Hijama here is done the way it should be. Look no further. Thank you for your great service.

★★★★★ — Nas, Aug 2021

I had a wonderful session with Sr. Ella at Sunnah Hijama. She’s extremely knowledgeable, gentle, and spiritually grounded. She explains every step clearly and makes you feel comfortable throughout. The clinic is spotless, calm, and centered on the Sunnah approach.

Booking hijama (wet cupping) at HIJAMA BY ELLA

HIJAMA BY ELLA comes up as a provider that offers hijama — wet cupping, where the skin is lightly punctured after suction so a small amount of blood is drawn. If you're booking hijama specifically, a few things are worth asking before you go. First, sterility is everything — a reputable practitioner uses a fresh, single-use kit (new blades and cups) for every client and follows clean, gloved technique. It's completely fair to ask how they handle this. Second, many people booking hijama want a same-gender practitioner — ask whether that can be arranged. Third, ask about aftercare and whether they observe particular days if that matters to you.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
