From the reviews
Mobile, at-home Acupuncture and Cupping with Dr. Long is a total game changer. I've spent countless hours in traffic to get to these kinds of appointments, and end up arriving late and completely stressed out. Only to have to deal with traffic on the way back. Dr.
Justin is an incredible acupuncturist. After my car accident, he helped me regain pain-free horizontal neck movement in just one session and has continued to ease tension in my back and shoulders. I’ve received acupuncture in Korea and across the U.S.
I’ve been dealing with sciatica and nerve pain for the past two months, and a friend referred me to Dr. Justin. I’m so grateful they did. He has been an incredible partner in my recovery. I see him regularly, and he always begins each visit by checking in on how things have been since my last appointment.
One patient at a time...it's rare to find an acupuncturist these days that doesn't book 3-4 people in the same time slot. Higher Ground Acupuncture is that needle in the haystack. Dr. Long was present, caring, and attentive during my hour+ appointment.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
