I recently had the pleasure of receiving a massage & cupping treatment from Conrad, and I can confidently say it was an amazing experience. From the moment I walked into the peaceful, serene environment, I felt at ease.

★★★★★ — Tesla, Feb 2025

I’ve had a lot of massages over the years, and coming from a big city (LA) I’ve had access to a number of specialty trained massage therapists. That said, after only a few sessions with Conrad, I can say these are the best massages I’ve ever had.

★★★★★ — Tina, Jan 2026

Best Massage in Town for Deep Tissue & Cupping! I had an incredible experience at High Desert Massage where I now get a monthly massage. If you're looking for a truly effective deep tissue massage combined with cupping therapy, this is the place to go.

★★★★★ — Taylor, Nov 2024

Conrad has such a warm and inviting environment. I have had a few massages by him and everytime it is so relaxing and perfect for muscle recovery. I love that he incorporates stretching and cupping into his practice. I would recommended him to anyone to get a massage by him if you’re in the Grand Junction area.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
