From the reviews
Since early 2024, following laparoscopic surgery for mass removal and ongoing daily stresses, I began experiencing persistent swelling and discomfort that traditional remedies could not alleviate. While researching non-pharmaceutical solutions, I discovered Alyssa’s lymphatic massage services.
Alyssa at Helix Massage is warm, attentive, and caring, creating a relaxing and uplifting experience every time. I’ve seen Alyssa twice now—once for a prenatal massage and once for a lymphatic drainage massage post–C-section. I highly recommend the prenatal massage to any expecting moms.
In one 90 minute session Alyssa made it possible for me to release a constricting emotional trauma locked in my body from a recent event. There was a sudden feeling of an opening up inside my core and the previously always on fight or flight response turned off.
I had the lymphatic massage for body and it was a great treatment. I went in feeling fatigued and wanted to get some rest before a trip. I highly recommend this treatment and look forward to having it again. Alyssa was very informative and always checked in with me about pressure and comfort level.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
