From the reviews
Couldn’t have asked for a better place for PT. I have bicep tendinitis and Alan has been helping me so much to regain strength while adapting exercises to my daily exercise. I love they have a nice clean place, enough rooms for patients and a lot of equipment for therapy time.
HealthHQ is the only place to go if you want to heal. There is nothing better than one on one PT for an entire hour. Haley is phenomenal. She's the first person to actually put their hands on me. Thinking about it now, how else is my leg supposed to get straight after months of scar tissue and three surgeries.
I’ve been going to Health HQ in Fenton for physical therapy for approximately 6 months, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the experience. Dr. Delaney Heavin is super knowledgeable and easy to talk to, and she really takes the time to understand what’s going on and create a plan that works for you.
Delaney recently helped me understand the source and remedy to a lingering lower back problem. For anyone wanting to get to the actual source of an issue rather than using drugs to numb the symptoms, I'd recommend a consultation.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
