From the reviews
I can’t recommend Healing Points Northwest enough! Heidi Day in Edmonds is an absolute gem. Her acupuncture and cupping sessions have been a game-changer for me—easing my pain and leaving me feeling so much lighter.
I was skeptical of acupuncture, never had it before. But I am grateful I decided to go for it. Heidi made a believer out of me. My experience with her was wonderful. We tried cupping as well, which worked wonders for me. She makes sure you are comfortable throughout the session.
I’ve been seeing Heidi during my second pregnancy, and I’ve been pretty much pain free in my hips and back with regular weekly visits with the combo of cupping and acupuncture! I wish I had known of her services with my first. She’s very knowledgeable and kind, and her office is very relaxing.
My husband and I both got to Healing Points and we love it. Heidi really knows what she's doing and has helped both of us with our various issues. Heidi introduced me to cupping which has completely relieved me of the upper back pack I was experiencing. Between that and the acupuncture I feel 100% again.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
