“But she was able to find the perfect middle ground, where I was able to destress and relax without feeling uncomfortable.”

From the reviews

Kathryn is very considerate about listening to concerns and preferences. I am sensitive and easily bruised. But she was able to find the perfect middle ground, where I was able to destress and relax without feeling uncomfortable.

★★★★★ — Michele, Jan 2026

Kathryn first sits down with you and talks through your various options for massage styles. We chose a more intensive trigger point style. She has strong hands and her own special version of trigger point techniques that she alternates with other larger motions; sweeping and kneading.

★★★★★ — John, Jun 2026

Kathryn is fantastic! She creates an environment that is peaceful, full of kindness and acceptance. It is rare to find a massage therapist that not only knows proper massage techniques, but intuitively knows where muscle healing needs to occur on an individual level.

★★★★★ — Traci, Jan 2026

Such a great experience from start to finish! It was easy to book my appointment online and had several reminders before the day of my appointment. The deep tissue massage was amazing and really targeted my problem areas. The space was clean and calming, and Kathryn was very friendly and welcoming.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
