Wowwww!! Only been here 3 times and every time was different. All techniques are done here!! Points done directly into tense muscles to relieve knots AND indirectly to balance the flow of energy thru specific channel points. Both doctors do both!
Healing Arts Health Center has completely changed my mind about Acupuncture! I was very hesitant to give it another try after not receiving much relief from my first go around…but let me tell you, having the right practitioner is EVERYTHING!
We love Shaheed and his staff. They are always friendly, professional, and treat us like family. I see him routinely for running fire cups. My husband was going to rehab a pinched nerve using acupuncture therapy. He is back to full strength with the help of rehab and Shaheed.
Great spot for accupuncture. Dr. Shaheed Abdullah is awesome. He's attentive to what's going on with the patient, thus using points that help with healing. Truely a life changer! They have packages to reduce the cost of sessions if you’re not covered by insurance.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
