Go to this place if you need to balance your hormones. Lisa P is magic with all her tools - acupuncture, herbs, cupping, and more. She really listens to you. Also - Becky Gonzales is a doula and massage therapist there, and is magic in restoring the body through massage. I couldn’t recommend this place enough!!
All the practitioners are Concept Wellness are incredible! I've seen them all but most recently have been seeing Angela. She is such a great acupuncturist. She really takes time to know you and your concerns and I always feel amazing after our sessions. She uses needling, moxa, cupping and more.
I have been going to Concept Wellness for about 12 years. I have received a variety of treatments they offer from massage, to acupuncture to herbal support. The staff is very knowledgeable and incredibly professional and talented. But what sets apart Concept Wellness is their empathy and heart.
I cannot say enough good things about Concept Wellness. The front office staff are not only warm and welcoming but are good at what they are do. They make every effort to get you the appointments that you need. Now for Lisa ..she is an amazing practitioner who always knows what my body and sometimes my soul needs.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
