From the reviews

Several weeks ago, I had a massage and cupping with Katie. I had been having intermittent pain in my neck. The massage was soothing and relaxing. Her cupping technique felt gentle, effective and amazing. I left feeling lighter and like my circulation had been optimized.

This review is for Jesseca of Vital Flow. A colleague of Jesseca’s recommended her to me for back pain. Because of my height I’ve spent the last 56 years stooping. My profile looks like a question mark (?) minus the dot!

★★★★★ — Daryl, Oct 2025

Whitney is really gentle and really effective simultaneously. Her treatments are restorative and deeply detoxifying. Karen works the nerves to relax the muscles so while it feels like she's not working deeply the body responds as though she has. Katie is a magician with cupping massage.

★★★★★ — Rhiannon, Jul 2022

I had a 75 minute massage with Katie today and was so incredibly blissed out afterwards! She has such a loving presence, and was not only intuitive about finding the areas that needed work (that I didn’t even know about!) but also does thoughtful things like gently tucking the blanket in around you after repositioning.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
