From the reviews

10/10, A+, 50 Gold stars. Whatever your rating system is, Emily is at the top of it. Had an issue with my back, severe rhomboid pain which made it extremely difficult to work. Instead of just working on the area in pain, Emily got to the root issue which was a muscle that was attached to it that became highly tense.

★★★★★ — Tristan, Mar 2025

Emily was fantastic! She asked all the right questions to ensure all my problem areas were addressed. This was the first time I’d experienced the cupping technique, which wasn’t something I noticed really adding to my massage but she said it helps her (especially in follow up sessions) get to my problem areas easier.

Emily is intentional with the space she creates. It's calm, relaxing and allows you to slow down and honor the time you are spending on yourself. She makes sure she understands what your needs are for each session so she can best focus her efforts.

★★★★★ — Raina, Aug 2024

I have had the distinct pleasure of utilizing Emily’s massage therapy services for about 6 years, and she truly is the best. In every session, she has addressed my issues and health needs with the utmost care, compassion, kindness, and expertise.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
