From the reviews
This is my 2nd review for Healing Arts Center. I have now been a patient here for a few months and have consistently been seeing Julie Schwartz. She has a calming energy about her, makes me feel heard as a client, and makes me feel beyond safe and comfortable under her care.
I have been going to the Healing Arts Center for a few months now to address some fatigue and endurance issues and have noticed real improvement in both these areas. I'm no longer dragging through my days and on my walks around the city I've been doing an extra mile, on average, while still feeling good.
I had my first acupuncture treatment with Dejota Apostoli today (Mon 1/15/24). The place (Healing Arts) is very clean and comfortable, all of the staff I've encountered were friendly and professional, and Dejota especially was welcoming of me as a new patient. I hope I get good outcomes.
Excellent acupuncture experience and I felt and feel so much better! I have congestion in my upper back which cusses a constant low grade annoying ache. It's much better after Julie treated me!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
