I have NOTHING but incredible things to say about this amazing massage studio! I called in desperate with incredible pain from, well, sleeping wrong, because that happens when you get older.
I have been visiting Harbor Health monthly for about five years now, and have seen many of their fabulous employees for care. I can say that all of the staff are capable of performing wonderful massage that leaves you feeling relaxed and eases any muscle pain you have!
Excellent service here each time I have attended. I'm not one who would normally be found in a spa or massage business but after an issue with a bad back, it was recommended to me. The workers at Harbour Health was incredibly friendly and fast to put me at ease.
I can't recommend this place enough. Dayna has been working with me for a few months now and although it's not an instant fix, I can feel improvement after each appointment. I've finally found someone who listens to my concerns and has a course of treatment to follow to get better.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
