I have been seeing Andrew Crapo for 9 months at his Harbor Health location and am very happy with the treatments and service I've received. Andrew is professional, knowledgeable, and highly skilled.
I am a big believer in acupuncture & have been getting acupuncture treatment since I was a teenager. Andrew definitely knows his stuff & is a highly professional practitioner with many tools in his tool belt.
My husband and I had been trying to get pregnant with our second child for over a year when it was suggested I look into acupuncture. I had been able to get pregnant with my son quite quickly, and knew my body was capable of getting pregnant and carrying a baby full term.
I have been skeptical about acupuncture for a long time, until I've tried it. It has helped me with so much, especially with my sleep problems and anxiety. Pain management is also working. I can't recommend enough this place and Andrew as a great specialist in his field!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
