I have gone to Corey for both massage and acupuncture. He is a great therapist! I had an acupuncturist whom I went to for years that moved out of the area and was a little nervous to try someone new. I should not have hesitated.
I went for my first appointment ever for acupuncture. I had no idea what to expect. I firmly believe this can help me. Cory was vey patient with us and got a full history on me. When done we did get a little acupuncture done and it was for the most part painless.
I am so impressed with my whole experience with Corey. He is professional, knowledgeable, and very thorough. The acupuncture he performed has helped me tremendously with my chronic pain and injury. He helped me reduce my migraines and overall stress level. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
