From the reviews

In a world of Karens, be a Robin. I’m just home from the best massage. Ever. Robin is professional and knowledgeable. Her space is clean and peaceful. She is both therapeutic and healing. While she didn’t actually touch my heart, my heart was touched. Do yourself and those around you a favor; schedule today!

★★★★★ — Karen, Aug 2022

Among many positive attributes, Robin gives knowledgeable and compassionate care. I feel safe in her hands. Thank you!

★★★★★ — Tonnie, Oct 2022

I’d been seeking therapeutic help for almost two years for chronic pain in my cervical spine after a severe auto accident. I had previously had about 40 visits to other healers, including chiropractors, physical therapists, pain management doctors and other massage therapy.

★★★★★ — John, Feb 2026

I highly recommend Robin at Ginger Pear Acupuncture and Massage in West Linn. Not only is she compassionate, calm, and attentive, but she is also a phenomenal healer! I chose Robin because of her 14+ years of massage therapy experience combined with deep knowledge of the integrative medical technique of acupuncture.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
