From the reviews
Tara is my go-to's for ANY health and wellness concerns I am having. Last year I started having sharp pains in my ear and jaw and then started developing a rash on my face. I went to urgent care twice, my ENT and my dentist. They all misdiagnosed me. Tara caught that it was Shingles!!!
I have been a client at the practice for a while, and to say it is the best thing that has ever happened to me is an understatement. For someone with chronic back issues, multiple herniated discs, Tara's practice is what keeps me going, keeps me active, and pain-free. It is truly a gem in this community!!!
My experience with Tara physically, mentally and emotionally has been nothing short of amazing. I train Muay Thai and boxing and have been suffering and training with pain for a very long time.
My experience with Tara at GenWell Acupuncture continues to be simply outstanding. I have been going to Tara for over a year and a half and her expertise, intuitiveness and compassion have been transformative. I came seeking relief from chronic pain and stress, and the results have surpassed my expectations.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
