From the reviews
I had Lyme symptoms, pain in my neck and lower back to the point that I had trouble walking. I needed to get better fast since I was going on a big trip in one month. I went to see Jin and she did several treatments on me and prescribed Chinese medicine to help.
I can say that so far Jin is the best acupuncturist I have had! I was introduced to Jin through a friend and I made my first consultation this past Friday. I was diagnosed with a fronzen shoulder 2 months ago, and Jin helped me relieve some pain after 1 treatment. Jin is very skilled, the personal kind and welcoming.
Jin Kim is everything a health practitioner should be. She is knowledgeable, effective, and a sympathetic listener. I experience improvement after each session and Ms. Kim’s attention to detail never diminishes. She explains each step of the acupuncture process so her first time clients can feel secure.
Jin is GREAT. One visit and you will see how knowledgeable and thorough she is, working not just with acupuncture, but with herbs, lifestyle choices and TCM. Jin has helped me to make positive strides in regards to my health and I am so glad I chose Westchester Health Acupuncture over other local acupuncturists.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
