From the reviews
Phenomenal experience. I've had a neurological problem causing dizziness and balance issues for almost a year that no one could figure out including doctors in Boston. I decided to try acupuncture. The doctor did a thorough evaluation before deciding if he could help.
I have suffered health issues including knee pain (which has my walking), menstrual cycle issues, and poor sleep for years. I tried to take various brands of medication, but none have been effective and with even caused me to suffer some side-effects. Finally I started acupuncture treatments in Gentle Acupuncture.
I would definitely recommend Gentle Acupuncture if you're dealing with chronic pain. I was dealing with carpal tunnel syndrome and was under the care of an orthapedic surgeon who put me through therapy and gave me steroid shots all of which did absolutely nothing.
I love Gentle Acupuncture! I have been coming here for years to treat my back pain. I tried physical therapy, cortisone shots, chiropractors, massage therapy and none of them helped. Feng and Judy are the best! So happy I found them!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
