From the reviews

I’ve been seeing Dr. Yong Zhong Yu for cupping, and he is a very skilled and knowledgeable practitioner. He has a deep understanding of the human body and takes the time to really listen and address any concerns I bring in.

I went for cupping therapy For my frozen shoulder but he suggested cupping therapy won't help much so he did accupuncture for my shoulder and he did such a great job and I am extremely satisfied and feel very relieved from my pain after suffering 8 long months and my range of motion was pain free for the first time.

★★★★★ — Praveen, Oct 2024

Amazing. First off, a 5 stars for acupuncture in general. I came in with a number of issues, 2 of them being a neck that had little range of motion and which caused my arm to feel numb and a more general feeling of overall discomfort (physically and emotionally).

The acupuncturists here are super experienced and responsible. The techniques they are using that I have never seen before and is really effective. My mother has severe heart issue for long time, they found the basic problem from the root which the western medicine can never tell. It saved people’s life.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
