From the reviews

I have been through many Acupuncture Clinics and Eastern Medicine Hospitals in Canada, Taiwan, China and West Coast US because I had spine surgery when I was young. Only Dr. Deng is able to completely remove my back pain, inflammation and joint issues.

★★★★★ — James, May 2025

I am very pleased and thankful to be able to find Jun Yi Acupunture that provides a holistic acupressure massage, acupuncture, and cupping therapy. Dr. Deng and her team are phenomenal healers.

★★★★★ — Anne, Jun 2026

Vickie (Dr. Deng) is great at what she does! I’ve seen her for acupressure/massage/cupping over the past few years and she can identify my problem points, even the ones I didn’t notice myself. She’s thorough in working out the tightness in my neck and back especially. Clean clinic and cozy environment.

★★★★★ — Esther, Dec 2022

I felt good after trying the traditional Chinese medicine treatment for the first time. The staff of Jun Yi Acupuncture was professional and helpful. Dr. Deng assisted me with the acupuncture, cupping, and moxibstion after they massaged my tense muscles. I had less back pain as a result.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
