From the reviews
Thanks to Raj at Empower Physical Therapy, I’m not just starting my post-op healing journey… I’m truly beginning to recover. I’m incredibly grateful for Raj’s care, expertise, and compassion for my particular situation.
I have been going to Empower PT and Fitness for 2 weeks and so far I have worked with Brittany, Jenna and Kristie and they have all been great! When I got there, I could not straighten my leg, I walked with a limp, and had a decent amount of pain walking.
After suffering a torn hamstring, I was recommended to visit Empower Physical Therapy in Bloomfield Hills—and I’m truly grateful I took that advice. Raj, Melissa, and their entire team crafted a targeted, personalized treatment plan tailored to my needs.

What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
