From the reviews
Lori Todd at Embody Wellness and Massage was AMAZING. She listened to me about my problem areas and constant pain I have in my neck and shoulders and explained some different techniques she was planning on doing and asked my comfort level through the WHOLE process.
I enjoyed my experience at Embody Wellness & Massage, LLC. Yolanda was great! Due to the fact that I work in an office setting, she was able to alleviate any discomfort or nagging pains in the high- tension areas. Her experience shows how good and professional she is in working with clients.
Yolanda is awesome. My 12 year old had developed severe eczema and swelling of multiple lymph nodes. After many doctors appointments, medications, creams, and even a lymph node biopsy, Yolanda is the only one who has truly helped her.
Yolanda is a very knowledgeable, intuitive, and talented massage therapist. She takes quite a bit of time to get to know you and your body. Her technique, at least with me (I'm sure she customizes for each client), is a very effective combination of deep tissue, trigger point, and fascial release.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
