From the reviews

LOVE LOVE LOVE Shawnte's touch. I treated myself to a massage that included cupping and I left out of there feeling amazing. I can't wait for my next appointment.

Where do I start? From the time I walked in, she greeted me with a nice warm, comforting smile. She explained everything to me before she started which made me relax, due to this was my first massage ever. She made her recommendation based off of my body type and it was phenomenal.

I’ve had two wonderful women work on me and they were both amazing. My body felt refreshed and truly loved on. They offer so many services and the owner is experienced in ear acupuncture which I definitely intend to experience soon and book a session for.

I went to the Elements of health after receiving a spa finder gift card. I was really excited to try them out and they did not disappoint. This was a very relaxing experience and everyone that I interacted with was incredibly kind. I had Ashley for a 90 minute deep tissue massage and paid 130$.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
