From the reviews
Dr. Amanda is magical. I had just gotten over bronchitus, had several familial deaths, and was feeling depleted. Hadn't slept regularly in weeks. It was such a relief to feel my body and mind turn off during the acupuncture session.
I have been getting acupuncture done here for about a month. Every visit has been a wonderful experience. All of my concerns were finally heard and addressed. Dr Amanda makes me feel so comfortable and creates a very relaxing environment so you can openly speak on any issue you are having.
Amanda is an incredible acupuncturist who truly listens and asks thoughtful questions to get to the root of every issue. She has helped me overcome everything from migraines and stubborn colds to lingering post-COVID symptoms.
Dr. Amanda is very compassionate and takes the time to understand your concerns and issues. My body reacted very well to acupuncture. I did 6 weeks and my chronic symptoms are definitely lessened. The environment is calming and easy feeling. Very highly recommend.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
