From the reviews
This is a very special place, intimate and friendly. The acupuncture tables are all in one room separated by curtains, not private rooms (though a small private room is available for a higher price). This setup allows for high-quality acupuncture at an affordable price. But the real reason I come here is Brian Maloney.
I absolutely love this place. Lauren is amazing, I went for an herbal consult and cupping. My pressure headaches have been getting so much better and pain in my back is improving. She’s so knowledgeable and listens to all of my concerns. Hailey is super kind, friendly and accommodating.
I had the only guy acupuncturist working there, I forgot his name.. sorry! he’s a very informative and polite.. I would recommend him.. very talkative so if you have any questions, probably best to ask at the end of the session.. just tell him where you need the needles and he’ll get it done..
Front desk person is friendly, clear and efficient. Practitioner Craig Wong was knowledgeable, attentive, efficient and kind. He let me know that he had read the notes on my appt request and updated my chart at the end of the appt. Operation feels simple, calm, and clean. I left feeling better than when I arrived.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
