From the reviews

Contrology gives you a warm welcoming feeling. I always receive personal attention with my therapy explained to me thoroughly but in terms I can understand. The PTs have excellent credentials and are highly qualified to use many techniques. I totally trust them with my care.

I have been a regular patient at Contrology since August 2022. When I started PT, I had recently completed knee surgery and couldn’t walk without assistance. Sam, Michele and the team have spent hours teaching me how to walk again. Throughout my struggles, they have been steadfast, knowledgeable supporters.

★★★★★ — Jo, Mar 2023

Samantha and her staff are thorough professionals. They are enormously knowledgeable and highly trained, but just as important is their ability to instill confidence in their patients so that problems can be solved.

★★★★★ — Catherine, Mar 2023

We were recommended to Contrology two years ago when my daughter, who is a gymnast, dislocated her elbow. From day 1 my daughter felt completely comfortable and welcomed from the owner and staff.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
