Amiees work is truly live changing. I was very scared of needles before coming here but was recommended by someone younger than me to come here. I have seen such improvements with my mental and physical health after months of seeing countless doctors and finding “nothing” wrong with me and telling me it was in my…
First time acupuncture experience! And my experience has been nothing short of amazing and transformative. I found myself at Collective Healing in search of relief from a muscle ailment due to sports. Not only was I able to find complete relief, but I have found added benefits through treating anxiety.
Collective Healing was my first experience with acupuncture. I could not be happier with the results and the practice owners - Aimee & Noel - were great in everything from educating me about acupuncture to accommodating my appointments.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
