From the reviews
I was looking for a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner to perform an evaluation of me and this place had such great reviews, I made the drive from Milwaukee. Dr Yan is very skilled. She was able to determine a few things within me that need improvement and corresponded with the way that I felt.
I have been seeing Qin Yan at China Spring Acupuncture Clinic for over a year, and she is truly exceptional. Not only is she an outstanding acupuncturist, but she is also a genuinely kind and caring person.
These folks know what they are doing! I started going to China Spring for treatment for chronic headaches during pregnancy. After one treatment I felt so much better! Several repeated sessions later and I was told that there was no need to return unless symptoms came back or other issues arose.
Dr. Yan is exceptional! I saw her for 6 weeks and the changes I experienced were absolutely noticeable. She is extremely intuitive and professional and was great when I had last minute reschedules. I’ve recommended her to everyone for acupuncture and cupping.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
