What clients say about the cupping here
“Pam's unique and focused style of Chinese acupuncture, massage, coupled with herbs is by far some of the finest treatments I've experienced, I know her therapy has contributed to a faster recovery.”
“Her acupuncture technique was nearly painless, yet very effective for my tendonitis.”
“Over the past couple of years I've suffered a couple of sports injuries, back and neck specifically.”
From the reviews
Pam has a natural and intuitive touch. Her seventeen years of experience are readily apparent. Her acupuncture technique was nearly painless, yet very effective for my tendonitis. Combining neuromuscular massage with acupuncture was a first for me, and I have been to half a dozen other acupuncturists.
Pam is my go to pain healer. I have been seeing Pam for acupuncture and massage therapy for at least 10 years. She has the magic touch! She's very compassionate, gentle and her acupuncture is painless. She combines acupuncture with massage and if needed cupping.
Over the past couple of years I've suffered a couple of sports injuries, back and neck specifically. Pam's unique and focused style of Chinese acupuncture, massage, coupled with herbs is by far some of the finest treatments I've experienced, I know her therapy has contributed to a faster recovery.
So I'm about 10 visits in, and Pam is a godsend! I am stage 4 osteoarthritis and trying to take less ibuprofen. The physical pain is surprising, however, the emotional pain attached to not being able to walk, or stand for any period of time hurts more. I wish I'd met Pam Jankelow 15 years ago.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
