Nikole really embodies the full 360 of a patients’ wellness. She takes the time to do a full intake and hear about what your challenges are both physical, environmental and emotional. Nikole makes you feel very comfortable in the cozy space in downtown San Anselmo.
I started seeing Nikole for acupuncture about 4 months ago. Initially I started seeing her for hormone balancing and insomnia. My cycles have become more regular and I am sleeping so much better. She has also used cupping to treat my neck pain and tight shoulders.
Absolutely life changing. Nikole is wonderful and helped us get pregnant after trying for over a year with PCOS. I got pregnant the month I started with her :) I recommend her to any and everyone struggling on their pregnancy journey as well as those who want a good practitioner before during and after pregnancy.
Nikole is magical. She's fixed my searing neck and back pain on multiple occasions. She's incredibly intuitive and caring and knows exactly what to do to ease pain, alleviate stress and spark deep relaxation - acupuncture, cupping and other amazing treatments.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
